The reporter learned from the Xinjiang Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission on March 27 that the Shenhua Wucaiwan Thermal Power Plant, Huaneng Luntai Thermal Power Plant, Guodian Karamay Thermal Power Plant, Guodian Korla Thermal Power Plant and other thermal power projects have been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The four major power projects have a total installed capacity of 2.8 million kilowatts. The total investment is 12.502 billion yuan.
Since this spring, in accordance with the arrangement and deployment of the autonomous region’s “good start of the new year to promote implementation”-major project construction promotion activities, the Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region has actively supervised and coordinated power supply project units to change from idle winter to busy in winter, and accelerate the implementation of For the preliminary work of the thermal power project that has obtained the "road track", a dedicated person will be responsible for separate docking, focusing on every link of project approval, further strengthening the connection and communication with relevant state ministries and commissions, and striving for approval to start construction.
The Development and Reform Commission of the Autonomous Region stated that after the four power projects reach full capacity, they will add 14 billion kilowatt-hours of power generation, consume 7.6 million tons of coal per year, achieve tax revenues of more than 400 million yuan, and provide nearly 1,000 jobs.
It is understood that these projects built in the load center cities and industrial parks of our district will effectively improve the power guarantee capacity in the area, meet the winter heating needs of urban residents and the industrial heat use of the park, and replace a large number of high-polluting and low-efficiency power supplies. Small thermal boilers are of great significance for adjusting and optimizing regional industrial structure, promoting urbanization and the construction of industrial parks, and promoting local economic development.
At present, the installed power capacity of our district has reached 27.4 million kilowatts, which is more than 11 million kilowatts from the end of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period, which is equivalent to the total installed capacity of Xinjiang Electric Power at the beginning of the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" period. In 2012, the region's power generation was 118.826 billion kWh, an increase of 35.8% over the previous year and 31% higher than the national average growth rate. The newly added power generation will be 14 billion kWh and the tax revenue will be more than 400 million yuan.
