CGNPC Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Unit 1 Commercial Localization Rate of 75%

Unit 1 of the first phase of the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant, the first nuclear power plant in Northeast China, was put into commercial operation on the 6th. The unit generates 24 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per day, which can meet the power demand of Dalian City. The localization rate of Hongyanhe Unit 1 equipment reached 75%, further enhancing China's nuclear power equipment manufacturing capacity.

Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant is jointly invested and constructed by China General Nuclear Power Group Co., Ltd., China Electric Power Investment Corporation, and Dalian Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. at a ratio of 45%: 45%: 10%. It adopts the improved PWR technology CPR1000 independently designed by China General Nuclear Power Group. The reactor pressure vessel of Hongyanhe Unit 1 manufactured by the Dalian base of Yizhong Group is my country's first million-kilowatt nuclear reactor pressure vessel with independent intellectual property rights and independent construction.

The plant area is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and the site elevation is above 8 meters above sea level. It is located on a complete and stable granite base. It adopts the mature and stable Chinese improved pressurized water reactor nuclear power technology of CGNPC......

As the first nuclear power plant in Northeast China, Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant can be described as a combination of multiple advantages.

On June 6, with the completion of the 168-hour trial operation of Unit 1, the Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station officially entered the commercial operation phase.

"The construction of Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station has overcome many difficulties in nuclear power construction in alpine regions. More importantly, the localization rate of Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Station Unit 1 equipment has reached 75%, which has further improved my country's nuclear power equipment manufacturing capacity." Hu Wenquan, assistant general manager of China General Nuclear Power Group and chairman of Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., believes.
