Chairman Wu Jianxin Attends Launch Meeting of Key Equipment Localization of LNG Terminal

On October 17, 2018, China General Machinery Industry Association (hereinafter referred to as "China General Machinery Association") and PetroChina Kunlun Energy Company (hereinafter referred to as "Kunlun Energy") jointly organized the "key equipment localization kick-off meeting of LNG receiving station" in Dalian ". Deputy General Manager Zhong Wenxu of Kunlun Energy attended the meeting with the heads of five departments including the company's management department and the heads of four LNG receiving stations including Jingtang. The head of Zhongtong Association Huang Li attended the meeting with the main heads of 24 equipment manufacturing industries including Dalian Dagao, China Nuclear Su Valve, Jiangsu Shentong, Dalian Huarui Heavy Industry and Shanghai Apollo Pump Industry. The Science and Technology Equipment Department of the National Energy Administration also sent people to attend the meeting. The launch will be presided over by the long oriole of the Zhongtong Association.
According to the requirements of my country's energy structure adjustment, the proportion of natural gas in the energy supply will increase significantly. After several years of efforts, the localization of major equipment in natural gas liquefaction plants and receiving stations has made important progress, but key equipment such as cryogenic valves, cryogenic pumps and loading and unloading arms have been imported. In order to ensure the safe supply of national energy, especially the requirements for the "interconnection" of urban gas since last year, the China Communications Association communicated with Kunlun Energy and formed a consensus. It plans to design and manufacture supporting equipment for the 3 million-ton/year LNG receiving station. Based on the requirements, organize and carry out localization research.
At the kick-off meeting, both the supply and demand sides reported on the LNG market prospect and the preliminary preparation of key equipment research and development. Under the joint witness of the representatives of the meeting, Zhongtong Association and Kunlun Energy, as Party A and the manufacturing industry as Party B, signed a joint research and development agreement, promising to complete the research and development tests of low-temperature valves, low-temperature pumps and loading and unloading arms that have not yet been localized before the end of 2020 and use them in the project. In order to do a good job in the next step, the two sides negotiated to set up a leading group and a working group to carry out research and development and testing in a targeted and planned way, and Zhongtong Association and Kunlun Energy to do a good job in organization, coordination and technical services.
Jiangsu Shentong signed a joint research and development agreement for ultra-low temperature butterfly valves and ball valves. Chairman Wu Jianxin attended the kick-off meeting and personally signed the joint research and development agreement.
After the signing ceremony, users and the equipment manufacturing industry undertaking the task unanimously stated that the localization of LNG receiving station equipment is a requirement to ensure the country's energy supply and structural adjustment. It is not only the responsibility of the enterprise, but also the need of enterprise development. It is necessary to actively support and participate in LNG localization. In the work, and make their due contributions.
