LNG cryogenic valve localization technical specification seminar successfully held in Beijing

According to the current international situation and the needs of China's energy development, it is more urgent to further promote the localization of cryogenic valves in the field of air separation and natural gas liquefaction. China General Machinery Industry Association plans to 100000 cubic meters/hour air separation plant and 3 million tons/year liquefied natural gas plant valve design and manufacturing requirements as the basis, to organize the development of low-temperature valve localization.
On July 20, 2018, a seminar on the localization of low-temperature valves was held in Beijing. The meeting was presided over by Zhang Zonglie, vice president of China General Machinery Industry Association. Huang Li, president of China General Machinery Industry Association, Sui Yongbin, honorary president, deputy secretary-general Song Yinli and Xu Jianping attended the meeting. Experts such as Qiu Ping and Ke Songlin of Sinopec Beijing Design Institute, Jiang Wanjun of Sinopec Guangzhou Design Institute, Wang Lanxi of Sinopec Ningbo Design Institute, Jia Qiyue of China Global Engineering Company, Zhou Fangfang of Hangyang Group Design Institute, Zhang Jiwei of Hefei General Machinery Research Institute were specially invited to attend the meeting. Ltd., Wuxi Yadi Instrument Co., Ltd., Tianjin Baili Development Group Co., Ltd., Shanghai Kaigong Valve Co., Ltd., Lanzhou High Pressure Valve Co., Ltd., Shenjiang Valve Co., Ltd., Xi 'an Pump Valve General Factory Co., Ltd., Shanghai Kaiweixi Valve Co., Ltd., Bethel Valve Group Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Jiulong Valve Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and other enterprises participated in the discussion of technical specifications and test outlines.
Huang Li, president of China General Machinery Industry Association, made a speech on the background, situation and significance of localization. She pointed out that since 2006, the National Energy Administration and the China Association have been continuously promoting the localization of major equipment and have made many achievements, but there are still some key valve technologies that need to be overcome. Many ministries and commissions have realized the importance of localization, but the implementation of specific work still needs associations and enterprises to do. The process of localization requires great efforts by enterprises. Sometimes the localization of some products may encounter technical difficulties, but the real demand is not large, and a balance needs to be made between the interests of enterprises and the interests of society. At the same time, the Oriole President proposed: Although there are many difficulties in promoting localization, we have the foundation and determination to do a good job of localization. Through this meeting, we hope to select some enterprises, break through key technologies, and promote the localization of low-temperature valves.
The meeting focused on the technical specifications and prototype test outline of low-temperature high-pressure regulating valve, high-pressure oxygen regulating valve, low-temperature ball valve, low-temperature axial flow check valve and low-temperature butterfly valve. The person in charge of the drafting unit introduced the main terms. Experts and technical leaders of participating enterprises discussed together. Some key enterprises in the product valve industry are already tackling key problems. Experts from Sinopec Design Institute also exchanged progress on tackling key problems. After repeated discussions, finally, the technical specifications and test outline of the above five types of products are determined.
After the discussion, Sui Yongbin, honorary president of China General Machinery Industry Association, made a concluding speech. He stressed that the localization of LNG and other valves should adhere to the principle of combining production, learning, research and application, and could consider establishing an industrial alliance according to the situation. Qiu Ping of Sinopec Beijing Design Institute made a speech on behalf of experts from the User Research Institute. He expressed full confidence in the localization of valves. Under the leadership of the Association, he will actively participate in the research of LNG cryogenic valves and make efforts to realize the localization of cryogenic valves. The meeting was a complete success.
