Meizhou Bay Second Thermal Power Plant Approved

A few days ago, Meizhou Bay second thermal power plant was officially approved by the National Energy Administration. The project is a joint venture between SDIC (Fujian) Meizhou Bay Power Generation Co., Ltd. and Malaysia's Yunding Shanyuan Group, with a joint investment of 7 billion billion yuan, of which 0.55 billion US dollars will be used to build two 1 million-kilowatt domestic supercritical coal-fired generating units. At present, the project is in the process of bidding agency and other work, and is expected to start construction in the near future.
