Wu Xinxiong, director of the Energy Administration, attended the review meeting and witnessed China National Nuclear Corporation and China General Nuclear Power Group. The group signed the "Hualong One" technology integration agreement.

It is understood that "Hualong No.1" is formed by the integration and optimization of CNNC's ACP1000 and CGN's ACPR1000 + technologies. It has complete independent intellectual property rights and has obtained 743 patents and 104 software copyrights. It covers the fields of design technology, special design software, fuel technology, operation and maintenance technology, and meets the requirements of nuclear power going global strategy, "Hualong No.1" makes full use of China's mature nuclear power equipment manufacturing system, the key equipment and components have been independently developed, and the localization rate of the first pile demonstration engineering equipment is more than 85%, and it has good economy.

For a long time, the inconsistency of China's nuclear power technology route has long been widely criticized. Since 2005, CGN has also carried out the process of independent research and development on the basis of the million kilowatt reactor type-M310 introduced by France. Through a number of technical improvements, it has developed from CPR1000 to CPR1000 technology, and then to the final ACPR1000 technology.

On March 18, 2013, Wu Xinxiong became director of the National Energy Administration. One month after taking office, he put forward the idea of integrating China Nuclear ACP1000 and China General Nuclear ACPR1000 technology. On April 25, 2013, led by the National Energy Administration, the leaders of both parties convened a special coordination meeting to discuss the merger of the two technologies.

Lin Boqiang, director of the China Energy Economic Research Center of Xiamen University, said frankly that the review of "Hualong No. 1" marks the gradual unification of the previous separate nuclear power technology development, which is conducive to the formulation of domestic nuclear power technology and standards, while avoiding homogeneous competition and reducing my country The cost of nuclear power technology research and development will have a profound impact on the development of my country's nuclear power industry.

Zhao Chengkun, vice chairman of the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, revealed at the review meeting that the "Hualong One" demonstration project will build two "Hualong One" nuclear power units in Fuqing, Fujian and Fangchenggang, Guangxi.

"The construction period of a general nuclear power plant is about 5-6 years. Although the'Hualong One' technology can be promoted abroad before this, if it is not used in China, the possibility of foreign countries generally willing to adopt it is still relatively low. It is estimated that it will take at least 5-6 years for the commercialization of 'Hualong One' to appear, but the process will be significantly faster than before." Lin Boqiang said that at present, half of the world's nuclear power market is in China, and the commercial prospect of "Hualong No.1" in the future is still very broad.
