when will the two nuclear power projects in liaoning start? the state council gave the answer.
Yesterday, the Chinese government website released the "Opinions of the State Council on Several Major Policy Measures to Support the Revitalization of Northeast China in the Near Future" (hereinafter referred to as the "Opinions"), stating: Optimize the energy structure in Northeast China, start the construction of the second phase of the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Project, and start the construction of the Liaoning Xudabao Nuclear Power Project in due course.
The "Opinions" also called for speeding up the construction of power transmission channels to effectively solve the problem of "nest electricity" in the Northeast.
According to the latest data from China Power Union, as of the end of June, the country's installed nuclear power capacity was 17.78 million kilowatts, an increase of 21.7 percent over the same period last year. Power generation increased by 16.9 year-on-year, and equipment utilization hours were 3430 hours, down 113 hours year-on-year.
Among them, the use of hours to reduce the most obvious is the Liaoning nuclear power unit. In the first half of the year, the average utilization hours of Liaoning nuclear power units decreased by 1586 hours year on year.
According to the "China Nuclear Power Medium and Long-term Development Plan", by 2015, the planned installed capacity of nuclear power will reach 40 million kilowatts and 18 million kilowatts are under construction; in 2020, the planned installed capacity will reach 58 million kilowatts and 30 million kilowatts are under construction.
According to an interview and combing by the First Finance and Economics (Weibo) Daily, the nuclear power projects expected to start this year include not only Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Phase II and Xudabao Nuclear Power Project, but also Sanmen Phase II, Haiyang Phase II, Lufeng Phase I, Shandong Rongcheng CAP1400 Demonstration Project and Fuqing Phase III.
Among them, Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Phase II plans to build 2 ACPR1000 nuclear power units, and Xudabao Nuclear Power Project Phase I plans to build 2 AP1000 nuclear power units.
In 2010, the second phase of the Hongyanhe project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission to carry out preliminary work. In the same year, the feasibility study report passed the review and the construction of two million-kilowatt nuclear power units was planned. At the end of 2013, CGN submitted the "Environmental Impact Report (Construction Phase) of the Second Phase of Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant (Units 5 and 6)" to the Ministry of Environmental Protection.
On April 8 this year, the State Nuclear Safety Administration also approved the examination opinions on the site selection of the Xudabao nuclear power plant. A person from a nuclear power company told this newspaper that according to the process, after obtaining the approval of the plant site, the Xudabao Nuclear Power Plant will enter the stage of submission to the State Council for review.
The "Opinions" also clarified that it is necessary to actively support major technical equipment to expand the market, encourage and guide key national projects to give priority to the use of domestic equipment, and support superior equipment such as nuclear power, thermal power, rail transit, petrochemical metallurgy, and high-end machine tools to go out.
